The following pitfalls should be paid attention to when purchasing street lamps:


Trap 1: Counterfeit chips or low-end chips


The core of LED lamps is the chip, which directly determines the performance of the lamp! However, some unprofessional manufacturers take advantage of the unprofessionalism of their customers, and use low-cost chips from the perspective of cost, so that customers can buy low-quality products at a high unit price, resulting in direct economy Loss and cause serious quality risks to LED lamps.


Trap 2: Configure virtual labels and exaggerate configuration parameters


The fierceness of solar street lamps is also accompanied by the reduction of price and profit. The fierce competition has also led to many solar street lamp manufacturers beginning to cut corners and false standard product parameters, such as the wattage of light source, the wattage of solar panels, the capacity of batteries, and even the use of solar street light poles. The materials are all in problems. Of course, this is also caused by customers' repeated price comparisons and low prices, and it is also related to the practices of some manufacturers.


Trap 3: Poor heat dissipation design and unreasonable configuration


In terms of heat dissipation design, every time the PN junction temperature of the LED chip increases by 10 degrees, the life of the semiconductor device will be reduced by multiples. Due to the high brightness requirements of LED solar street lights, the use environment is relatively harsh, if the heat dissipation is not solved well, it will quickly cause LED aging and decrease stability. In addition, unreasonable configuration often leads to specific usage conditions that fall short of expectations.


Trap 4: Copper wire pretends to be gold wire and controller problem


Many LED manufacturers try to develop materials such as copper alloys, gold-clad silver alloy wires, and silver alloy wires to replace expensive gold wires. Although these alternatives are superior to gold wires in some characteristics, they are much worse in terms of chemical stability. For example, silver wires and gold-coated silver alloy wires are susceptible to sulfur/chlorine/bromination corrosion, and copper wires are prone to oxidation and sulfidation. For the encapsulated silica gel similar to the water-absorbent and breathable sponge, these alternatives make the bonding wire more susceptible to chemical corrosion, the reliability of the light source is reduced, and the use time is long, and the LED lamp beads are more likely to break and die.
